The journey to Holistic living: nourishing body, mind and soul

I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A CURIOUS BEING...

When I first started my journey into holistic living, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. What does HOLISTIC mean exactly? Holistic is the whole, the power of food to heal the body, the power of movement to strengthen the body and mind, the power of nature to replanish the soul, the power of self love, self care and much more…


It wasn’t until I began to connect the dots between the food I ate, the way I felt connected to my yoga practice, and my overall well-being that everything started to click. Holistic living it’s never been a trend to me, but a lifestyle that views health as the harmonious balance of mind, body, and spirit.


For many years, I lived with the belief that if I just ate the right foods, I’d feel better. But what I didn’t realize at the time was that true nourishment comes from a more comprehensive approach, one that considers not only what we eat but also how we eat, think, move, and nurture our emotional health. When I made the shift to holistic nutrition, I began to understand how every choice I made, from the foods I consumed to the thoughts I entertained, played a role in shaping my health. And, my person :)


Holstic Nutrition

At the same time that I've start my studies as an Holistic Nutritionist in Vancouver, Canada I've also became a vegan raw chef and wow this combo made my kitchen world shift, and not only. I've always been mindful on not wasting food, but since then zero waste came so easy to me and always a way to me for be creative in so many ways. Holistic living encourages us to view our health as a dynamic balance between physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It’s not just about eating nourishing food but about creating a life that supports your mind, body, and spirit in equal measure. Food is powerful, but so is the environment we cultivate around us, our relationships, our surroundings, and how we treat ourselves on a day-to-day basis.


Through this journey, I’ve also come to realize how deeply important it is to retreat from the constant noise of the outside world. In our fast-paced society, we often forget to pause and reconnect with ourselves. Holistic living encourages us to carve out time for self-care, whether through moments of quiet reflection, time in nature, or engaging in activities that soothe our souls. It’s a reminder that we are worthy of rest and rejuvenation, and that by slowing down, we give ourselves the space to heal and grow.


It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, but holistic living teaches us to retreat in order to restore. Taking time for ourselves isn’t a luxury; it's an essential part of maintaining balance and well-being. This could be as simple as practicing mindfulness or as profound as going on a retreat where you can disconnect from the world and reconnect with your own inner wisdom.


Holistic Yoga Retreats

When I made the decision to focus on holistic nutrition, I didn’t just change the way I ate. I changed the way I lived. I started to recognize the importance of balancing all areas of my life, from the foods I consumed to the thoughts I entertained to how I treated myself when things got tough. And yes even the importance of hiking barefoot (which i will go deeper in another post) It’s about embracing a lifestyle that supports you in every way, helping you tap into your natural energy and vitality.


Through this blog, I want to share this holistic approach to living of mine, by leading with love and showing this my passions, offering tips, recipes, and inspiration for those who are ready to embrace a life that nourishes them on every level. Whether it’s through discovering the healing power of food, learning how to take time for yourself, or exploring ways to bring more balance into your life, I hope this space becomes a source of inspiration for your own journey to an holistic lifestyle.
